PAIN | ANXIETY |
The contribution of therapeutic virtual reality to pain and anxiety management in palliative care day care, Maison Pallia-vie, 2020.
Erwan G. & Yves C.
Results: During the first 6 months of use, the results observed and especially noted by the 32 patients clearly demonstrate that immersion in VR is capable of modifying the perception of both pain and anxiety. Our findings are in line with the results of several studies carried out with people in palliative care units, especially the latest one (Niki, K. et al., J Palliat Med (2019). Immersion in VR is a therapy of choice for a non-pharmacological management of pain and anxiety allowing the well-being of patients.
